Is the great barrier reef dead?
Why don’t you find out for yourself…and Reef Rebels will help you do just that!
The Project for Real Science invites open-minded and adventurous young Australians to set off on a journey to the Great Barrier Reef with scientist Dr Peter Ridd to investigate the health of the Great Barrier Reef for yourself.
And what’s even better? All your travel and activity expenses will be paid for!
Become a Reef Rebel – learn the truth of the Great Barrier Reef for yourself.
What Is Reef Rebels
Reef Rebels is a hands-on scientific journey to see for yourself if the true state of the Great Barrier Reef matches up to ‘the reef is bleached and dying’ narrative you hear in the news and on social media.
Reef Rebels will have the opportunity to:
- Visit the Great Barrier Reef and other inshore reefs
- Visit the rainforests and surrounds
- Hear from experts on how reefs are formed, what sustains them, and the threats to their health
- Hear varying perspectives from those who work in and around the reef everyday
- Compare and contrast these differing viewpoints on the overall health of the reef
- Make up your own mind!
